Adrian Wykrota is a documentary photographer, curator and lecturer dedicated to visual education. He is the co-founder of Pix.house gallery. Adrian holds master’s and doctoral degrees from the Institute of Creative Photography at the University of Silesia in Opava (Czech Republic), and has pursued cultural /media studies in Poznań. Adrian has received scholarships from esteemed institutions such as the Ministry of Culture, ZAIKS, the Marshal of the Wielkopolska Region, and the city of Poznań.
Having honed his skills through participation in workshops organized by Magnum Photos in Birmingham and Belfast, Adrian Wykrota was distinguished by Magnum Photos in 2014 as one of the thirty best photographers under thirty. He has secured victories and commendations in prestigious competitions, including IPA, Grand Press Photo, BZWBK Press Photo, Lumix Festival, Leica Street Photo and Fotoreporter Roku. Adrian’s works have been showcased in exhibitions across Poland and around the world.
Notably, his book titled “NIE – NOT” has earned a place in the Tate Modern collection in London (curated by Martin Parr).
